Yoshi no Mori (Ceremonial Matcha)
Yoshi no Mori is a distinguished ceremonial-grade matcha, highly esteemed by the 15th grand tea master of Omotesenke, Fushin’an’s Mushanokoji-sōshō (Myōsai Sōshō). This exceptional matcha represents the pinnacle of traditional Japanese tea culture, crafted with meticulous attention to detail to meet the rigorous standards of formal tea ceremonies.
As a premium koicha (thick tea) blend, Yoshi no Mori exemplifies elegance and complexity. It is renowned for its rich umami flavor, velvety smooth texture, and delicate yet profound aroma, all of which capture the quintessential qualities of the finest Uji matcha. The tea’s vibrant deep green color and enduring sweetness contribute to its esteemed reputation among seasoned tea practitioners and discerning guests alike.
Yoshi no Mori is ideally prepared as koicha, where its smooth, full-bodied character and subtle bitterness are most prominent and appreciated. Due to its refined nature and superior quality, this matcha is not recommended for culinary applications, as its delicate nuances and high-grade formulation are best preserved when enjoyed in the traditional ceremonial context.
