Sachi-No-Shiro (Ceremonial Matcha)
This exquisite usucha (thin tea) has been carefully chosen by Yūyūsai Sōshō, the esteemed grand master of the Sōhen-ryū tea school, exemplifying the highest standards of ceremonial-grade matcha.
Sachi no Shiro is a meticulously crafted matcha blend intended for preparation as usucha, the lighter and more approachable style of matcha traditionally savoured during informal tea gatherings. This particular blend is distinguished by its smooth and gentle flavour profile, characterised by a delicate umami richness, a subtle sweetness, and a remarkably low level of bitterness. The name “Sachi,” which translates to “happiness” or “blessing,” aptly conveys the sense of warmth, balance, and positive energy that this matcha imparts to each tea-drinking occasion.
Perfectly suited for daily tea rituals or for graciously hosting guests, Sachi no Shiro embodies the serene elegance and harmonious spirit that are central to the Sōhen-ryū tradition. Its vibrant green hue and refined aroma further contribute to an immersive and tranquil tea experience, inviting practitioners to appreciate the depth and subtlety of this distinguished matcha.
