Kirihara-No-Shiro (Ceremonial Matcha)
This distinguished koicha (thick tea) has been meticulously chosen by Kōshin Sōkei Sōshō, the esteemed master of the Enshū school, ensuring its exceptional quality and authenticity.
Kirihara no Shiro represents a premium-grade ceremonial matcha, specially crafted for formal tea ceremonies following the traditions of the Enshū-ryū school. This exquisite blend delivers a perfect harmony of richness and sophistication, characterized by a profound umami flavor, delicate sweetness, and a clean, velvety finish. The name “Kirihara,” which conjures images of mist-laden groves or fog-enshrouded plains, aptly symbolizes the serene elegance and refined aesthetic that are fundamental to the Enshū style of tea preparation.
The tea’s gentle bitterness and vibrant green hue make it particularly suited for koicha, allowing its complex and nuanced character to be fully expressed and appreciated. Kirihara no Shiro is ideally intended for seasoned tea connoisseurs and is especially appropriate for ceremonial occasions, embodying the polished and graceful ethos of the Enshū school with every serving.
