Kashin-No-Mukashi (Ceremonial Matcha)

Kashin no Mukashi is a distinguished ceremonial-grade matcha, meticulously chosen by Zabōsai Sōshō, the 16th grand tea master of the esteemed Urasenke school at Konnichian. This exquisite matcha represents the pinnacle of traditional tea craftsmanship and is intended for use in the most formal and revered tea ceremonies.

This exceptional blend is crafted specifically as a koicha, or thick tea, designed to be served during highly formal tea gatherings. It is renowned for its profound and refined umami flavor, a smooth and velvety texture, and a delicate sweetness that gradually reveals itself with every sip. Kashin no Mukashi embodies the elegance and balance that are central to the Urasenke style of tea ceremony, making it a preferred selection among experienced tea practitioners and for occasions of great significance.

In comparison to other ceremonial-grade matcha blends, Kashin no Mukashi stands out for its remarkable smoothness, exhibiting very little bitterness and boasting a vivid, vibrant green color. It is ideally enjoyed as koicha, allowing one to fully experience its rich depth and harmonious balance. This matcha is not intended for culinary applications.

The product is offered in two types of packaging: a can or a box. The packaging will be chosen randomly at the time of purchase, and customers are unable to select their preferred packaging type. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
